–Curtain Call Playhouse opens its season Friday with the musical review A Salute to Broadway at the Willow Theatre in Boca Raton. Playing through Oct. 10.
— Broward Stage Door in Coral Springs won’t provide the necessary Kleenex at its production of Steel Magnolias opening officially Saturday, Oct. 2 through Nov. 7.
–Jan McArt’s Theatre Arts Guild is holding her Fifth Annual Ice Cream Social featuring a special production of Two Men About Town at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wold Performing Arts Center at Lynn University in Boca Raton. It stars cabaret performer Steve Ross and noted British actor/director/producer Barry Ingham performing material from Noel Coward’s song book and readings of his letters.
