Scary Storytelling

Antonio Amadeo, Katherine Paul Amadeo and their friend John Manzelli founded The Naked Stage three years ago years ago, using a tiny corner of Barry University as their stage.

Now they’ve slated Flashlight Tales, an unusual fundraiser Sept. 21 benefiting their other high-profile foray, The 24-Hour Theater Project, scheduled for Oct. 4.

Flashlight is an open mic opportunity to tell your favorite five-minute ghost story or scary tale to the attendees, not to mention enjoy music and a cash bar. The best story wins a Naked Stage T-shirt and two tickets to Naked Stage’s next full production, Sartre’s No Exit from Oct. 29 to Nov. 21.

The sign-up begins at 8:30 p.m. and the stories begin at 9 p.m. at the club Flavour, 2895 McFarlane Road in Coconut Grove. Tickets for participants and observers are $10 cash at the door and $8 for an advance purchase. For more information visit mim.io/33235.
