Sex after sixty must sell. The demand for tickets has persuaded GableStage to shoehorn extend its run of A Round-Heeled Woman. The comedy-drama starring Sharon Gless depicts a 66-year-old schoolteacher who has not had sex in 30 years and sets out to rectify it by putting an ad in the New York Review of Books seeking a sex partner.
The new performances are 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 19 and 26, and 2 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 22 and Jan, 29. For more tickets and information, call 305-445-1119 or go to GableStage.org.
Maybe theater business is picking up. Palm Beach Dramaworks has also added an extra week of performances last week to Freud’s Last Session.
