Alex Lacamoire, a 1992 New World School of the Arts grad and the Tony Award winner for orchestrations for’In The Heights, is offering a master class in the career theater business for high school and college students at 1 p.m. Friday, April 1 at the Louise O. Lacamoire has been music director, arranger, and/or orchestrator for’Bat Boy: The Musical ,Godspell’s national tour 2001,’Wicked, Stephen Schwartz’s’Captain Louie, High Fidelity and’Legally Blonde.

Franc D’Ambrosio, who played the title role in’The Phantom of the Opera for five years, is also offering a master class in musical theater at noon, Sunday, April 10 in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. D’Ambrosio will discuss vocal health, stage presence, dramatic interpretation, merging both musical and dramatic intent, and professionalism. He will also work with students individually on implementing those skills.
