As with A Round-Heeled Woman at GableStage, now Mosaic Theatre has a super-sized hit with The Irish Curse and has increased performances to keep up with the big audience demand (or insert your own pun). The show has added Sunday showings at 7 p.m. in addition to its 3 p.m. matinees.
Although very funny, the show about men in a support group grappling with physical shortcomings is also a surprisingly moving drama because of the committed performances of Ken Clement, Barry Tarallo, Ryan Didato, Todd Allen Durkin and Shane Tanner ‘ deftly directed by Avi Hoffman.
Intrigued by the reviews, the playwright Martin Casella is flying in to see the March 5 matinee and will stay just long enough to conduct a talkback afterwards.
