UPDATED FRIDAY AFTERNOON : Hurricane-Related Closing, Postponements At Local Theaters

—The Outré Theatre Company will perform The Normal Heart as scheduled for Saturday, October 8 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, October 9 at 2 p.m.

-GableStage is back on schedule.

Arts Garage in Delray is holding previews Saturday and Sunday. Opening is next Thursday.

Infinite Abyss is performing “Ghosts of the Grand Guignol” Friday and Saturday at 8 PM.

Entr’Acte Theatrix has rescheduled dates for Peter and the Starcatcher as follows: New Peter and the Starcatcher Dates: DRESS – Sun, Oct 9 – 2:30 PM, 7:30 p.m., Oct 13 -16 and 22-23; 2 p.m. Oct. 15-16, 22, 22.

FAU’s Department of Theatre and Dance has canceled this weekend’s performances of Omnium Gatherum. Two performances have been added:Saturday, October 15th at 7 p.m.  and Sunday, October 16th at 2 p.m. Priority will be given to those who reserved tickets for this weekend, so please check with the FAU box office on/or after October 10th at www.fauevents.com.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre did not sustain any major damage.   The Conservatory of Performing Arts will reopen for regularly scheduled classes on Saturday, October 8th at 9am.  The Box Office and Executive Offices will reopen on Monday, October 10th at 10am.

-The Arsht Center box office is open Friday and the 10th Anniversary event will be held Saturday.

Broward Stage Door box office is open and performances begin with Saturday’s matinee.

—Actors’ Playhouse still plans on its Season Kick Off Party on Sunday, October 9th at 6pm.

Miami Children’s Theatre has canceled the Friday night production of Annie.

Main Street Players’ Friday performance of Clybourne Park cancelled, but two shows on Sunday, 10/16, one at 2 pm and one at 7 pm. Email info@mainstreetplayers.com if you have already purchased tickets and would like to be reimbursed or to change them for another date. As of right now, still have Saturday’s and Sunday’s shows scheduled.

-Lake Worth Playhouse is cancelling the opening weekend, October 6-9, of Urinetown. It will be rescheduled. Ticket holders, Lake Worth Playhouse will be happy to exchange your tickets for this weekend of Urinetown into another performance during the run, free of charge. To exchange tickets or for further information, please call box office today, at 561-586-6410 or email us at staff@lakeworthplayhouse.org. The box office will take calls again starting Monday, October 10. The Stonzek Theatre will be closed starting today, October 5, until further notice. All classes this weekend have also been cancelled. Make-up classes will be scheduled.

Marquee Theater Company has rescheduled this weekend’s run of “Fiddler on the Roof” to the following weekend; October 15th at 8:00 PM and 16th at 2:00 PM 2016. Mad Cat’s Friday  performance of Why Not? With Richard Nixon has been cancelled. All who have bought tickets will be reimbursed. Mad Cat has added two performances of Why Not? With Richard Nixon this upcoming Monday the 10th and Tuesday the 11th at 8pm. $15 industry, senior, and student tickets. $30 General admission.

—The South Florida Theatre League is postponing its copyright workshop this Saturday. Details to come on when it will be rescheduled.

—All events including theater and lectures in some cases this weekend, at FAU’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters have been cancelled. The Theatre Lab Playwright’s Forum on Thursday has been rescheduled to Thursday, Oct. 13, 7:30 p.m. The Sunday Theatre Lab Playwright’s Master Class has been rescheduled to Sunday, Oct. 16, 11 a.m.

—The Kravis Center is cancelling school and public performances of The S*T*A*R Series and public performances of the Family Fare production of Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny, scheduled for October 6-8, plus The S*T*A*R Series performance of Songs of Freedom, scheduled for October 6.

Theatre Lab is postponing events scheduled for this weekend. The Playwright’s Master Class with Deborah Zoe Laufer will be moved from Sunday, Oct 6th to Sunday, Oct 16th at 11am. The Playwright’s Forum with Deborah Zoe Laufer originally scheduled for this Thursday evening at 7:30 will be postponed to a date to be determined.
