Larry Parr’s Invasion of Privacy from Pigs Do Fly Productions, based on a lawsuit against Florida’s beloved Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, lays intriguing thought-provoking ideas on the table, but basically just leaves them there.
Getting old, or older, is not for sissies, the saying goes… but it’s easier if you can laugh at it and if you know you’re not going crazy all alone. The second half of that is the unspoken maxim beneath Pigs Do Fly Productions as it enters its third season with its newest entry, Curly Tales.
Pigs Do Fly’s second outing of short comedies Fifty Plus: A New Atttude is a mildly entertaining, pleasant diversion punctuated by several guffaws and chuckles. But the undemanding evening generates little electricity and too few stretches of outright hilarity.
