Recognitions
Veteran actress/writer/director Karen Stephens has been named a recipient of the fifth annual Randolph A. Frank Prize for the Performing Arts recognizing artists “whose dedicated work enhances the quality of life…in Palm Beach County.” She will receive a crystal trophy and monetary prize at a private ceremony May 20.

The native of West Palm Beach is a mainstay of the professional theater scene with such roles as her turn this season as the mother of an abused child in Doubt at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. Among her standout performances is her tour de force playing multiple diverse characters in Sarah Jones’ one-woman play Bridge & Tunnel.
