Original Diego & Drew Come Out 2nd Time at the Broward Center

In 2016, the interactive gay wedding theatrical experience Diego & Drew Say I Do had a successful run at the Broward Center. Now it’s back for a second go ’round. It has grown up just a bit with a stronger cast and better comic timing throughout.

Diego & Drew Say I Do Once Again At Broward Center

You are invited to a wedding this month, well, a theater experience recreating a wedding. It may seem at first blush not your everyday wedding with the title Diego & Drew Say I Do, but actually it’s not the sexuality of the grooms that promise an unusual celebration. The plan is for the nuptials to be more notable for the carrying on of the guests than for the same-sex partners.

Silver Palm Theatre Awards Announces 28 Honorees

The South Florida Silver Palm Theatre Awards committee honoring theatrical excellence in South Florida will present the award to 28 individuals and organizations in its ninth season. Recipients range from veterans like Joseph Adler to newer names like Aygemang Clay.

Diego & Drew Say I Do, A Locally-Developed Interactive Play Opens In Broward Center

Opening Thursday in the Abdo New River Room is Diego & Drew Say I Do, a twist on the popular Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding in which audience members join in the show and become “guests” at the wedding reception of Diego Torres and Andrew Boudreaux III.

Plaza Theatre’s Irving Berlin Songbook Will Please The Greatest Generation

In Irving Berlin Salutes America at The Plaza Theatre, four capable performers plus the pianist/ arranger delivered the musical equivalent of a familiar old down comforter and a hot toddy for a nightcap. There was nothing electrifying, no fresh insights for those born after World War II, just an unabashedly pleasant, entertaining evening and that’s what the audience wanted.
