“I’m Still Here” SoFla Theaters Say, But What Will ‘Here’ Be?

One Patron At Arsht’s March 12 Hamilton Reports Later Diagnosis Of COVID-19

A patron attending the March 12 performance of Hamilton at the Arsht Center has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19.
The venue stressed that there have been no other reports connected to any other performances and no other reports of illnesses.

Impressive ’20-21 Seasons: Bway In FTL, Actors’ Playhouse, Wick Theatre, Lake Worth Playhouse

Titles announced by more South Florida theaters in their 2020-21 seasons including Broadway in Fort Lauderdale: To Kill A Mockingbird starring Richard Thomas, and Hamilton returns; Actors’ Playhouse doing On Your Feet!, the Emilio and Gloria Estefan bio-musical; The Wick mounting Damn Yankees, and Lake Worth Playhouse with the American epic Ragtime.

Nick Duckart: Life On The Road With Come From Away Tour

Travelling in the national tour means moving to a different hotel in a different city nearly every week, not always sure what city that is, maintaining relationships with loved ones from afar, striving to keep the show fresh when you’ve done the material hundreds of times. And bats divebombing the performance. Just ask Hialeah native Nick Duckart travelling with Come From Away as it approaches the Kravis and Broward Center.

The Helen in Helen on Wheels is Helen Wheeler, a spirited, allegedly 70-something widow who speaks her mind and challenges anyone who crosses her as she continues to mourn her husband. But Helen on Wheels, from Pigs Do Fly Productions is more than an amusing story about a feisty widow. It also looks at the devastation of losing a loved one, of moving on with your life and keeping your independence.
